Theme: What laws has brought in Albania
Invited: z. Besnik DERVISHI

After 18 years of transition, the question that every citizen raises is what is done so far from the elite of politicians who took the responsibility to develop the process of democracy and economic development in the country.  In simpler words the question is if the key assignment job of politicians is the law making in the Parliament, what the laws approved has given to Albanians and how much have they contributed in liberating the development energies.   The laws approved by the Parliament are good enough but what’s missing is the will to apply them. What can we say is that any time we produce good laws they are not applied. Vice versa when laws are complicated and are against the development and the right frame politicians run after their application. While the season gives to the tourism a hand, in a first look, one can say the legal framework is right and complete.  But it’s not worthy when tourism inherits the same problems from year to year. There’s no yet collaboration between responsible institutions. There are no new projects developing infrastructure and there are still illegal buildings flourishing in the coasts. The boats will miss to the Albanian waters and this means losses in incomes generated by tourism. Meanwhile the law on legalization is a flagrant braking on the private properties law and its application will be associated with high costs to be paid by the Albanian tax payers. When such a law is largely considered as harful, why politicians rush to apply it?
